A Special Bond
The bond they have formed with their pets is extra special. Leslie and Bob took Shelby, as well as their cat, Nash, in as strays. Their newest pet dog, Jarod (named after the character in the television program “The Pretender” due to his acting skills) was adopted from Houston Shih Tzu Rescue. To them, it's a great feeling to have such wonderful and dependable friends. “They're always happy to see us and they know exactly how to cheer us up any time,” she says. “Having pets has actually taught me a lot about the importance of taking pleasure in the simple things in life. Family, friends and community. These are the things that truly matter.”
